Iowa......
Well as you all know we are moving to Wayne County ,Iowa after this year. This is the last year for us in Kennedyville, MD. We want to expand and pick up more ground, but you just can't afford to do it here. Land values have gone through the roof reaching upwards of 8,000-10,000 dollars an acre for farmland. Rental Ground is also getting harder and harder to pick up. We all made the decision to sell the farm and to move out west. We also like it out there. It is a life long dream of mine to have a big farm and now it will come true. It will be alot of work, but I think it will be well worth it. We currently have about 1,200 acres bought and are looking to purchase more. We would like to get around 2,000 acres. We will be going out there soon to get the stuff started for our houses, shop, and grain system. I will keep you all posted on the happenings.

Iowa.......
Well we are now officially Iowa residents. We are all doing great and adjusting well. It is great here. A little cold, but other than that real nice. The people are wonderful and very friendly. That means alot to us, and makes the transition alot easier. I would just like to give a big Thank You to....The Robinsons, The Fetters, The Ewings, Dave Foster and that great group of guys at Vetter Equipment. I also have to especially Thank Bobby Hicks who has come to our rescue more than once. You have really made this move easier. If we missed anyone I'm sorry. We hope to meet many more people too, and establish some great personal and business relationships here in Iowa. If you guys need anything don't hesitate to ask. I will update the photos and info as soon as possible.

Iowa......
Well we are busy getting ready for harvest and trying to get things cleaned up around here. Harvest is still at least two weeks away. The corn is drying down, but still has alot of green in it yet. The beans are just starting to turn. It is getting cool here now. It really is starting to feel like fall. I finally got around to updating the website so I hope you like the pics and such. A special thanks goes out to the Robinsons for all there help, and my wife for taking the pics and taking care of the baby. We have been busy around here on the farm and at the store in Allerton. John & Sandy purchased First Stop about a month ago. Iowa is the best, and we couldn't have picked a better place. I will post fall harvesting pics as soon as we get them.

Fall Harvest......
Well we are busy getting ready for the holiday's. I'm in Maryland visiting family right now over Christmas. It is raining in Iowa what a mess. At least they tell me the snow is melting. Still have around 500+- acres of corn to do. It is averaging pretty good at around 200+. It is suppose to freeze next week when I get back, so hopefully we can get finished up. Got alot of snow here in Maryland. It seems I can't get away from it. Oh well I hope next year is better. At least all the beans are finished up.They didn't do all that good. Way too much rain , and not enough heat. We send a big THANK YOU out to the Robinsons, and all that have and are helping us out. We couldn't have done it without you. New pics are coming soon...Well we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year............
