Spending time with the wife and new baby boy

We are a family farming operation. Family is
very important to us. Sometimes you have to
just take time for family. It is moments like
these that make life worth living. Family is
the most important thing we have. We all should
appreciate what we have today because it all
could be gone tomorrow. Our children are the
ones that can make all your problems melt in an
instant with a simple smile, laugh, or an unselfish
act.  It is imperative that we raise them in a
loving home, and instill good family values in them.
We should remember our children are our legacy,
and our greatest contribution to society.

Teaching my daughter to drive a tractor
We are a Family Grain Farming operation that consists of my father (John), and myself (Andy). We now own and will be tilling about 1,500 acres in Wayne County Iowa, and Harrison County Missouri. 2009 will be our first year here. The home farm is located near the town of Lineville, Iowa. We farmed ground in Kent County Maryland from 1958-2008. We owned about 600 acres, and were renting another 1,000 acres. Before that my grandfather and father had a 160 acre Dairy farm in Baltimore County. They farmed this ground till 1958 when the city of Baltimore bought the property for a reservoir, and forced them to move. At this time they bought the farms in Kent County, Maryland and began to farm in Kennedyville. My grandfather helped out on the farm until he passed away in 2001. Since then it has been pretty much me and my father. My brother Davey helped us out for the 2007-2008 year till he went to school in June 2008 for a year and a half to be a diesel mechanic at UNOH. Our wives Sandy (John's Wife) and Stephanie (Andy's Wife) help out around here when they can. We grew Corn, Soybeans, and Wheat in MD. Our rotation was Corn after Beans, Beans after Wheat, and Wheat after Corn. All our Beans were Double cropped after Wheat. We run all Case-IH equipment, Peterbilt, and Ford trucks. We will be growing Corn, and Soybeans in 2009 in Iowa. John, Steph, and myself were all volunteer firefighters in the Kennedyville Volunteer Fire Co. We try to help out and volunteer in the community as much as possible. John and Sandy owned C-Town Liquors in Chestertown, Maryland from 1997-2008.  I also currently own a small diesel performance business on the side which Stephanie helps me out with.....Smokin Diesel Performance. We are very country and down to earth people. We farm because it is in our blood and is our life. We love it and can't imagine doing anything else. We love being outside and working with our hands. We are always there to try and help someone in need. We treat all the ground we till as if it was ours and strive to constantly improve it and to leave it in better shape than we found it. Thank you for visiting the site please feel free to browse around and look at the photos. Come back as much as you like. Please sign the guest book and let us know what you think.
